EXM Vancu forming

Vacuc forming

  • Object cannot be covery as the object will not be able to be removed with out ripping the plastic.

The casting does leave lot of detail

It also works very well for light to shine throw.

WAXING

1. Pine.Speacil effects waxs and sand blasted pin. When would is sandblasted it very hard to put waxs on to wood because its hard to run the wax in.

2 Light wax Sand blasted pine. It bring out the grain

3 Special effects wax dark. Sand blasted

4. Sand blasted pine.

Sand blasting wood could be use in making marking cermanics

Tree branch wood.
Cut to strips and cut a strip out of one and contact the wood.
Sand blasted tree branch ring, Nice teeth effect on edge of wood.

Just like clay but doesnt dry. This could be a used way of moulding cermanic peaces before using clay as it doesnt not dry

EXM Plastics

.1 first the plastic was pushed into a band saw to create long teeth like stick. Cut from one end in rows to almost he end. It was then place in vault former to heat up and then bend.

.2 Heated then twisted

.3 Sheet of plasic heated then bent

4. Shape with heat and pilet hold with drill

Drawing with Solder wire

Rapid Solding wire is very easy to bend mold to form.
Also no need to worry about wire snips as easy to break

  • 1 Twisting wire around a pen. Pulling it off and flattening it with fingers.
  • 2.3 Twisting wire around the pen and pushing it together creating a spring.
  • 4.6 Simple bending wire creating following lines

Ice Cabages

These cabages forms was create by vakuforming
I m drawn to how much detail has been pick up in the ice.

Working like this had reminded me of Ice fossil which I did on my access course which was inspired by the work of Andy Golds Worthy which lead me to display outside and capture as the work was not around be around for long.
                                          My own Image access 2011

This inspired me to do the same with the cabbages. With my interested with arches I wanted to create a following line on the ground using these ice cased cabbages

My own image 2012

What Andy Gold-worthy does is work with natural materiel creating forms with out editing the materiel

Ice Ball – Andy Goldsworthy – Dumfriesshire, Scotland – After 1985
http://westonsworld.wordpress.com/2011/11/13/6-ice-snow-exhibit/ access 20.1.2013
This Ice Ball reminds me of my cabbage but the diff-rents is Gold-worthy  made this using shards of Ice where my cabbage is a exacted form of a cabbage which makes it a prefect form  and easy to mass produc where Goldsworthy ice ball can be re created but it wouldn't be the same.

'I think it's incredibly brave to be working with flowers and leaves and petals. But I have to: I can't edit the materials I work with. My remit is to work with nature as a whole.'

His work can only be seen by photo as his work is just lefted outside
and can disappear after time.

Water Works Museum Hereford. Discourse 15 Jan 2013

The Museum which is all run by volontear by retired doctors, engines  men and women all help to run and maintain all the machines, gardens even the coffee shop. Why do they do it? I feel it reminds them of the passed, childhood. Dads and granddads working with these machine. But their maybe something romantic about it.  Or is it the power of the machines? The hard labor?

When I walked around the smell of the work shop and smell of grease, the smell of metal reminded me of my childhood in the workshop with my dad. The quitter sound of the repeated sound of cogger and piedones going up and down just reminded me of the pass.

What came to my mind when walking around was who made the choice that these out of date machine should be kept. Their must have been some think active about them. I see then now as a functional peace of sculptor. It maybe a machine and have a reason but it still works for me as a functional peace of engineering.

I have never understood engineering nor will I ever. But I see the creativeness that in it that a engineer wouldn't.

The Genius of Photography. Discourse

After watching a DVD called The Genius of Photography, one part stands that got me. It was on the modern photographer and a it showed a man editing a photographer he took of a waterfall using a paintbrush and paint let. What skill that must have been, its never said the year of this work but the DVD is from 2006 six. Is this a way photographer would have edited their photos?

Today its quite simple and fast. We can take a photo the original way with film or digital and both can be edited using Photoshop  We almost can transform a image into some think we never seen before.

Are eyes I be leave  are fed up with what we see but when you Photoshop a image you inhants the colour and it becomes fresh. We see it in every think, we use it to inhants are own bueithy, make food look more fresh than it really is. Digital editing isn't seeing things in the real color but thats I be-leave isnt a bad thing. This is because I be leave it as art in away.

A modern way of creating a portrate, a landscape. Capturing a modem. But it would be ery intresting is in magzine of womens fashion or make up , food advertising didnt use digital editing. just took the picture and that was that. Would make up sell aswell? Would fashion drop? Yes I think the answer is.

Going back to a step

i really have come to a stand still today with this project. I have tryed looking looking at creating saggar but I soon lost interested for some reason  I feel maybe because I have done so much on my access course I just want to try somthink new and since I have been here in Hereford the things I look at for inspired has change where it use to be country side and sihouttees of the country side but since i started here its all change which I think its developing in ways. I had never work  with Google sketch before. Its really a way I like to draw my ideas.

I attend to go back looking at my cruzable as I feel I started off quite strong but got put off with the idea of making a mold as I think I wouldn't have time as I do attend to spend more time designing rather than making, but that's how I see myself as a design/ photographer. I do use my own photographer as ideas, taking  part of them, shape & forms.
