Ice Cabages

These cabages forms was create by vakuforming
I m drawn to how much detail has been pick up in the ice.

Working like this had reminded me of Ice fossil which I did on my access course which was inspired by the work of Andy Golds Worthy which lead me to display outside and capture as the work was not around be around for long.

This inspired me to do the same with the cabbages. With my interested with arches I wanted to create a following line on the ground using these ice cased cabbages

What Andy Gold-worthy does is work with natural materiel creating forms with out editing the materiel

This Ice Ball reminds me of my cabbage but the diff-rents is Gold-worthy  made this using shards of Ice where my cabbage is a exacted form of a cabbage which makes it a prefect form  and easy to mass produc where Goldsworthy ice ball can be re created but it wouldn't be the same.

'I think it's incredibly brave to be working with flowers and leaves and petals. But I have to: I can't edit the materials I work with. My remit is to work with nature as a whole.'

His work can only be seen by photo as his work is just lefted outside
and can disappear after time.
